I grew up in the neighborhood and always thought this was a transient hotel. I wound up spending a night here when I came back for a visit. I thought it was great, much better than I expected. It was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. My out-of-town friend had to show proof of a negative covid test to check in. I think the place used to be an apartment building. It had classic old stairwells and narrow hallways. Even so, it was quiet and cozy. We had rooms in the back, so there was no view but also no traffic noise. I would stay here again.

Definition first - the Superior Double Room is a small room with one double bed. Room was clean and made up daily. Although numerous small issues were encountered. Cabinet door fell off when I tried to access the safe inside. The chair was shaky. Room lighting is not cozy and better bedside table lamps could fix the issue. Shower curtain was too short and lots of water splashes into main bathroom floor. The through-window AC was situated in such a way that it was catching water dripping off the roof making it fun bedtime experience. On the plus side the room is very clean. Good bed and bathroom towels. Very conveniently located next to the Subway and citybike station. Walking distance to the central park.

Very pretty hotel, and my room was small but comfortable. My one complaint about the room was that there was a step between the bedroom and the bathroom, which was easy to trip on in the middle of the night. I was also uncertain why I prepaid, but was then charged another $22 when I got to the hotel and would have appreciated more communication surrounding this. Still, you can't beat the convenience of the location and I appreciate that I was able to book on very short notice!

An older hotel, but I liked having a fridge and microwave in the room. The first night there I hardly slept, due to a very hard bed. Management told me it was a new bed. I asked to change rooms. It would have been better had they offered to switch me, before I eventually thought of it. And I know it's a little thing, but the shampoo was so harsh on my hair. Still, the room was more reasonably priced, given the area, than other hotels.

We've been here for the second time already and we really liked it. The subway is directly in front of the hotel, there's food everywhere around and the staff is friendly. Our room was super nice but you have to be careful when you're booking a room because there are rooms with and without an own bathroom. Depending on how much you wanna spend, you can decide what you want. I would always come here again for reasonable prices and good rooms. It's not modern or anything, but I wasnt expecting that, so that's cool too.

This was our first stay at this hotel. Our room was one of the largest we’ve ever had, they gave us a two queen size bed room. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. I mentioned it to the staff and that night when we came back, we had two new mattresses!! I was very impressed! The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were always friendly and accommodating. It is an older hotel, with some lingering smoke smell, but it was clean and in the perfect location for our visit with family. We will stay here again.

Good hotel, comfortable and clean. Not super spacious, if that is a priority for you. But the location is excellent with good access both Uptown and Downtown and a good neighborhood around it. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. The location is very easy to access from the subway and takes only 10-15 minutes from Penn Station and Midtown. Most of the touristy destinations are downtown, but I found that neighborhoods further Uptown were more interesting. In sum, this is a good low- to mid-budget hotel with good access to the city.

My kids and I stayed here the week before Christmas. The hotel is perfectly located with regards to the subway, food, grocery stores and just about anything else you might need. The hotel itself is nice and clean. Our room was very clean upon arrival and throughout our stay. Microwave and mini-fridge in the room; coffee in the lobby was a little inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. Front desk staff was helpful. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.
